News & Events

After somewhat of a hiatus, Caps of Love is back with exciting news! Over the past year, incredible advancements have been made in the field of cold cap technology. Namely, the DigniCap scalp cooling system became the first device cleared by FDA in December 2015 to reduce chemotherapy-induced hair loss in women with breast cancer. Check out our updated "About" page to read more about this device.

We are thrilled to announce that Baltimore Washington Medical Center has just received the sixth DigniCap scalp cooling system in the United States and the first in the entire Mid-Atlantic region! Caps of Love believes that DigniCap should be available to all women enduring chemotherapy. That's why we are partnering with Chesapeake Oncology Hematology Associates in Glen Burnie, Maryland, to help women with breast cancer who wish to preserve their hair but cannot afford the treatment cost.

To all of our donors, thank you for your support. With your help, we are able to move forward in this new and exciting direction, continuing to help women preserve both their hair and their dignity.

Caps of Love just received an extremely kind and gracious donation of $600 from the family of one of our previous Cold Cap ladies!  Our CoL community is abound with love and generosity.

One of our ladies just finished up her final chemo treatment using Cold Caps provided by Caps of Love - free of charge!  Look at her beautiful locks!

FUN FACT: Did you know that Cold Caps are stored at a frosty temperature of -40
˚C?  Caps of Love hopes you stay warm and safe during this chilly winter!
